BB7 Response
BB7 were appointed as part of the due diligence monitoring team in relation to fire safety and accessibility. We ensured the building designs aligned with Part B and Part M of the Building Regulations and the approved Fire Safety and Disabled Accessibility Certificates. We became an integral part of the team with the project managers and the client’s representatives. The team:
• Reviewed the approved FSC and DAC strategies along with the architectural drawings and provided comments,
• Reviewed technical submittals in terms of proposed products and materials and identifed any issues,
• Completed site inspections to identify sub-standard installations or workmanship.
• Provided monthly updates to the team.
Benefits of service
The team completed the due diligence exercise on the building’s safety file and identified items that the client should be aware of. In addition, the building’s fire and accessibility statutory approvals were documented along with their conditions. The building’s fire safety management strategy was outlined to ensure that the client was aware of their obligations. Regular communication and reports ensured that the client was informed of the latest findings on-site, prioritising items of importance and ensuring compliance. The team also pushed the developers on behalf of the client to get answers to important questions regarding the project.
