Project overview
BB7 acted in the role of Assigned Certifier & PSDP for the construction of Block 2 Burnell Place, a new residential development comprising of 191 one and two-bedroom units in a single block up to 8 storeys high, located at the west face of the urban park at the centre of Northern Cross, Dublin.
The development contains 118 car parking spaces, of which 103 are located at the upper basement level, 424 bicycle parking spaces, private amenity spaces, public and communal open spaces, and external children’s play areas at the ground floor level. All apartments were completed to a very high standard and achieved an A3 BER rating.
BB7 response
The team completed the Assigned Certifier & PSDP services as set out in their strategy for the project with the required due diligence and communication with all parties involved to ensure that the client, project manager, contractor, design team and other stakeholders were all kept informed of the latest findings on-site, prioritising the items of importance, and ensuring their compliance. BB7 also assumed the roles of Fire Safety Consultant and Disability Access Consultant on this project, which enabled greater efficiencies in providing four key services. This, in turn, benefited the client, the team and the project delivery.
