The Forum, known as Highmark, is a standalone CAT A commercial office space situated on Commons Street in the heart of the International Financial Services Centre in Dublin. The premises includes a ground floor reception area and two floors of office accommodation, extending to a total of 46,015 sq ft, together with 46 car parking spaces. The building is well-serviced by a range of amenities and public transport links within a short walking distance.
BB7 Response
Due to the building’s existing nature, this was an interesting project to work on. Considerable effort was made to ensure the optimal solutions during the construction stage, particularly for the façade and protection of existing structural steel. The design team collaborated extensively to deliver this project, and we are proud of our involvement.
Our BB7 team provided the full range of services for a BCAR project for fire and accessibility. This included the design stage, which resulted in both the Fire Safety Certificate and Disability Access Certificate being granted with the design aspiration for the project maintained. We provided ongoing construction support including an active presence on site witnessing benchmarks and carrying out general inspections to ensure compliance with Part B and Part M of the Building Regulations.
Benefits of service
Working with an existing building brings unique challenges, but our construction-stage expertise helped the design team find practical solutions. We provided ongoing site support, ensuring fire safety and accessibility compliance while preserving the project’s design intent. Our hands-on approach meant issues were identified early, keeping the project on track and delivering a safe, compliant, and high-quality office space.
